This Privacy Policy describes how AnsariTech (“we”, “us”, “our”) — the developer identity operated by ANSARI TECH LLC — handles information in connection with the Android application Ring on Silent (the “App”), available on Google Play. The short version: the App works entirely on your device, and we collect nothing.
1. What the App does
Ring on Silent is a utility that plays an audible alert when apps you choose post notifications while your phone is in silent mode or Do Not Disturb (DND), and can re-post a visible copy of notifications that Android would otherwise hide. To do this, it uses Android’s Notification Listener access.
2. Information the App accesses (and why)
- Notification access (NotificationListenerService): when you enable specific apps inside Ring on Silent, the App reads those apps’ notifications in real time — the app name, notification title, and message text — for one purpose only: to decide whether your chosen alert sound should play and whether a visible copy should be posted.
- Keyword matching: if you set keyword rules (for example “Mom” or “boss”), incoming notification text is compared against your keywords on your device.
- Audio and vibration settings: used to play your selected alert through the device’s alarm stream.
- Do Not Disturb access: used to detect when DND is active so the App can ring and re-post suppressed notifications.
- Exact alarms and reboot receiver: used to start and stop alert schedules on time and to restore the service after a device restart.
The App ignores notifications from apps you have not enabled and does not process them for any purpose.
3. What we collect: nothing
We do not collect, store on any server, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- Notification content is never stored, logged, uploaded, or transmitted off your device.
- The App contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, trackers, or third-party services.
- The App makes no network connections and requests no network access beyond standard Android library defaults; it has no accounts and no sign-in.
4. Data stored on your device
The App saves your settings locally in the App’s private storage on your device: which apps are enabled, your chosen sounds and volumes, any keywords, schedules, and profiles. This data never leaves your device, is not included in any backup we control, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.
5. Permissions and how to revoke them
You can revoke Notification access or DND access at any time in your device’s system settings (Settings → Apps → Ring on Silent, or Settings → Notification access). If revoked, the App cannot detect or alert on notifications. Uninstalling the App removes the App and all locally stored settings.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone — including children — because the App does not collect information at all.
7. Third-party disclosure
We do not share any information with third parties. The App has no third-party data processors, advertisers, or analytics providers.
8. Security
Because all processing happens locally within Android’s app sandbox and no data is transmitted, the risk of exposure off your device is eliminated by design. Your device’s own security protections (screen lock, encryption) protect the locally stored settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. We will post updates on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the App’s Google Play listing.
